SunQuest was very excited to host a glider event for the Embry Riddle Eagle Sport Aviation Club on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6. The Sport Club provided a Piper PA-25 Pawnee tow plane, which was a unique aircraft in itself , a Schleicher ASK-21, a high performance aerobatic glider, and an amazing crew.
Glider rides were given all day, both days, with an interruption for some rain on Saturday. Everyone who signed up was able to ride and the weekend was a great success. Thanks to the Eagle Sport Aviation Club and the expertise of Ponso, the instructor/pilot of the glider, Ryan, tow plane pilot, and Patrick, ground crew, we were able to expose our customers to a different venue of flying. They worked very hard both days to get all 20 flights in. We will host this event again within the next few months, so if you missed out this time, stay tuned to sign up next time.
