For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by anything mechanical; which led me to bicycles, go karts, cars, motorcycles and eventually aviation. I began my aviation career after high school when I experienced my first flight in a Cessna Skywagon with a friend’s father. My mechanical curiosity, fueled by this flight, led me to enlist in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Mechanic. Although my Navy career was cut short due to injuries from a motorcycle accident, the training and experience I gained from Uncle Sam has proven to be priceless.
After my time in the service, I enrolled at Palm Beach Community College and earned my ratings while flight training at Sunquest. My time as a student and now an instructor at Sunquest has been an adventure and has enabled me to fly a wide variety of aircraft and meet people from all walks of life that are involved in aviation for all sorts of reasons.
During my flying career, I have been able to experience all sorts of aviation, from vintage tailwheel aircraft with technology from over half a century ago to modern aircraft with 21st century avionics systems. I really enjoy flying aerobatic, classic and unique aircraft. They are just so cool! When I’m not instructing or turning wrenches at Sunquest I can be found reading any sort of aviation related literature, flying in any airplane I can get my hands on, or spending time with my wife Sandra and dog, Piper..
