In the military, held various flying and executive positions with overseas tours in Vietnam and the Middle East. USAF Command Fighter Pilot with 5,200 hours in the following aircraft: T-37, A-37, T-33, F-100C/D/F, T-39 (Saberliner), F-5 B/E/F. Taught basic students through advanced fighter tactics, combat tour in F-100 and A-37; over 3,000 hours of military instructor time. Extensive international management experience, instructed military pilots from all corners of the world.
I enjoy flying and instructing during retirement. Total civilian hours now at 4,300 in a wide variety of General Aviation aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Mooney, Beech, Zlin, Maule, Husky, Grumman, Champion, Vans, Cirrus, Socata, Navion Diamond, Liberty, Remos, Sport Cruiser; both single and multi-engine as well as seaplanes, tail wheel and Glass cockpit, Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA). Operate as an independent contractor (flight instructor) for Professional Instrument Course (PIC) located in Essex, CT, and Sunquest Aviation (F45) in Palm Beach County (5,700+ CFI/I hours). Airline Transport Pilot with Certified Flight instructor to include Advanced Instrument Instructor (ground and air). Total time 9,600 flight hours.
Personal aircraft is a Zlin 143L...built in the Czech Republic with a Lycoming engine and American avionics. Bought aircraft new and have over 1,200 hours in it. Zlins are popular aircraft around the world built for aerobatics, military training, glider and banner towing. Live and fly out of FD-38, Wellington Aero Club. |
