............Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be a pilot. I was exposed to flying at an early age, when my father would help me build remote control airplanes. My formal flight training began when I attended Palm Beach Community College (now Palm Beach State College), in the aviation program. After several different flight schools and flight instructors, I found SunQuest. Here I acquired my private, instrument and commercial. I then attended a different flight school to get my multi-engine rating. I later returned to SunQuest to instruct full time and have been doing so for the past two and a half years. I have had more than 25 students pass check rides ranging from sport pilot to multi-engine commercial. I believe the key to being a good flight instructor is a patient demeanor, taking time to ensure students understand what they are doing and why, and keeping them involved in every aspect of the flight. |
