As a child my family would travel for vacation and I always enjoyed the flights more than the vacation. From a young age I always wanted to be a pilot. I started flying in 1998 at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. In 2001 I took a semester off to ski and work for Air Wisconsin in Aspen as a gate agent. I worked as a flight instructor for the University of North Dakota and also for a school out of Cobb County near Atlanta. I graduated in 2001 and went to work for Atlantic Coast Airlines, later re-named Independence Airlines, flying Jetstream 41’s and CRJ’s out of Dulles. In 2005 I went to work for Atlantic Southeast Airlines out of Atlanta where I met my wife who was a flight attendant – yes, clichés happen! In 2006 I started a corporate gig out of Palm Beach International flying BE-400 A’s and recently moved to the CE-750. So far I have racked up over 5,000 hours of flying.
I decided to get back into flight instructing because I miss small airplanes, enjoy teaching, and I have some free time do to it again. Going to new places is one of the things I enjoy most about flying. Outside of aviation I have a salt water fish tank and enjoy spending time with my family and friends at our pool. |
